The Renewed Life ~

     “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1). He holds time and seasons in His hand. At the beginning of this season (spring), we can remember what was before, winter, a cold barren time with gloomy and rainy days. Life seemed to be hidden under a blanket of snow, and the limbs of trees were exposed to the elements. But now, as we enter spring, we see new life coming into the world and leaves budding on the trees. This reminds us that we, too, have a renewal of life through Christ.

     "Oxford Languages" says ‘renewal’ means, the replacing or repair of something that is worn out, run-down, or broken. For a Christian it also means, the state or process of being made spiritually new in the Holy Spirit. What a good God we have! He has so graciously already started the transformation of our lives! In this season let’s take to heart this passage from 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
