Declaration of Faith
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God (Psalm 119:160a; 2 Timothy 3:16-17), and thus we believe... in the beginning God created the universe and all that is in it (Genesis 1:1). On the sixth day God made man and women in His image and united them in marriage (Genesis 1:27; 2). Though they lived in perfection, Satan tempted them, and both the woman and man willfully chose to disobey God’s protective command, and thus, sin entered the world (Genesis 3).

God is holy and perfect and could not continue to commune with man in his fallen state (Isaiah 59:2; Habakkuk 1:13a). However, because of His love for humanity He sent His Son to die in our place (John 3:16). Jesus was born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23) and lived as a man; He was both 100% God and 100% man (Philippians 2:6-8). Jesus, the sinless Son of God (Hebrews 4:15), was the perfect sacrifice; His blood was shed for the remission of sin (Matthew 26:28). On the third day after His crucifixion, He rose again (Romans 14:9). His resurrection defeated death and gave access to the Father and the power of the Holy Spirit to all who believe in Him (Ephesians 2:18).

Presently, Jesus is seated at the right-hand of the throne of God making intercession on our behalf (Romans 8:34b). He is our High Priest and Mediator (1 Timothy 2:5). He is preparing a heavenly home for all who receive Him (John 14:2-3). We cannot earn salvation by good works; it is the free gift of God (Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9). To be saved you must call on the name of the Lord Jesus and receive Him as your Savior (John 1:12; Romans 10:9, 13). For those who have received Him and die, they enter that paradise, and for us that remain, we await to either be raptured or pass on from this life into eternal life with Him (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17). However, for those who reject Him while alive their choice will be granted for all eternity, they will be cast into outer darkness (Matthew 22:13), separated from God forever. This is not unjust or cruel since God has given everyone the opportunity to receive Him (1 Timothy 2:3-4). He is not willing that any should perish but that all would come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9b). “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” John 3:17
